Studying the hyperfine interaction in a combination of muonic and regular, electronic atoms allows us to improve our understanding of nuclear structure for use in low-energy, high-precision tests of the Standard Model of physics. We extract the BW effect in mercury and values for the nuclear polarisability effect in thallium and bismuth. This talk summarises the work I completed in my Honours project.
